Christopher Alan Youmans (Chris), born August 5th, 1956

Chris was married in 1978 to Kathy Lowe, and divorced in 2005. This marriage produced his greatest treasure...his twin daughters, Kelley, and Sarah. Many a night was spent playing his acoustic guitar for his daughters...shaping his future musicality, and at the same time, imparting his eclectic tastes in music on to his daughters.

Chris was the only son of Joseph and Barbara Youmans. His father passed away in 1989, and his mother is still livin' it up in Jackson. Chris has one sister, Sherry Jacobs of Jackson, and many nieces and nephews.

These days Chris shares his time and love with his girlfriend Tonua, her two girls, and his new baby. a 2002 Harley Davidson Roadking.

Chris plays rythmn, and slide guitar, sings, noodles on the harmonica once in awhile, and has been a student of all forms of music, practically since birth. While growing up in rural Jackson, Michigan, Chris found sports, girls, and music as his favorite pastimes. During high school and college years, sports ranged from hunting, fishing, dirt bikes, golf, baseball/softball, skiing,( both snow and water), basketball, and many, many more. Musically he was influenced by just about every kind of music, with the exception of opera. Rock and roll, country, R&B, blues, bluegrass, reggae, funk.....all have blended to give his taste in music an eclectic flavor....some may even call twisted??

Many years were spent singing around the campfire with Dave Yeomans ( not directly related, but his brother in so many ways). It's doubtful that Dave and Chris ever dreamt they'd be in a band back in those early days, they were literally pickin' n grinnin' just for the fun of it. It wasn't until 1988 that Chris was asked to join the "Dangerous When Wet" band. This classic rock and blues band achieved a modicum of success in the Jackson music scene. The band name changed to Flashback in 2000, and eventually dissolved in 2003. Three members of this band, along with Dave Yeomans and Frank Wilson, went on to form the " On the Fence" band. A band that collectively decided to break the traditional band mold and play whtever the hell they wanted, the way they wanted!! Yes....they are still having fun after all these years...and that's all its ever been about!!
